To thread or not thread, that is the question. Do you have to thread your buttons or not? In the beginning I chose not to thread, but one time I was sucked in by a layout in a gallery. I decided to give it a try and now I am addicted. With as many buttons as I like to use, it can sometimes take me awhile to thread my buttons. Well, there ya have it...go forth and post!

I always thread buttons. I think they look unfinished if I don't.

i agree - looks unfinished if I don't - but i still sometimes don't!
Can you guys recommend good thread to use? Even when hand stitching layouts - i find it super hard to hand stitch thread (regular sewing thread doesn't stand out enough) Totally have never used stitching on my layouts but would love to own a sewing machine and do it - i love the look!!

Tara, I always go for a cross-stitch thread that is really thick. i don't know what it s properly called, but it is available in most craft stores or harberdasheries.
I don't always thread my buttons, especially if I am in a rush, but it certainly looks much better!
P.S. DONT get the cross stitch thread which is shiney! This just seperates to easily and gets tangled up as you are threading it through holes!!!
